Runaway Bride Across the Stars Book 2 edition by Ruth Ann Nordin Literature Fiction eBooks

While this was not a bad story I like the first one better. I was a little annoyed with Lexis and her willingness to cave into her mother's overbearing meddling.

I have to say I was relieved that she didn't marry the "THE DOCTOR" as her mother referred to the fiance. But I thought over all Lexis was a pretty wishy-washy kind of heroine. I like Mark and the alien from Pandoran who was persistent and recognized that Lexis and The doctor were a bad match and a worse nightmare for a marriage.

Over all it was not a bad read it just was not as good as the first story in the series.

Buy but keep in mind it is not as good as the first.

Runaway Bride Across the Stars Book 2 edition by Ruth Ann Nordin Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I stay away from books about fantasy. But the first book in this series was free. When I saw it was about characters from another planet, I almost put it down. But fortunately for me I continued to read. What a delight! I now have read book 2 and purchased book 3.

Thank you for your creativity in telling this story and so many others.
This book was "okay". If you read the first book then you know much of the storyline centered on the transition to earth. This book really doesn't capture your interest. The character Lexi was a doormat and the character Mark although likeable never moves from sidekick to hero.
This was as good as book 1. Unusual story...but good. This is the story of Lexie and Mark. Mark came at the same time Chris, from book 1, from the planet Pandoran. Very unusual story. It will hold your interest, if you can get past the first chapter. Cute story, you should read them in order, that way you understand what is going on with Mark and Lexie. This author has some imagination. I recommend this story.
If you're into a little sci fi, but with a modern day twist, then this book is for you. Imagine, an alien having to adapt to being a modern man. He had to become an engineer, working with military aircraft, just to have a mildly challenging job. Can you imagine what he would think of our communications systems? Our computers? This is a very funny series. I'm not saying that the author has written a great and influential work, but for a beach read, I'd definitely give it another try.
I picked these three books by the write-ups on ; they sounded interesting, though not like things I usually read. I found the premise fun and interesting. It is definitely "light" reading, but the characters are well developed and fun to get to know. I usually prefer historical fiction or fantasy where whole new worlds are created (which the third might qualify as meeting), but this series was fun, light reading, with plots I'd never before considered, which makes them very readable and enjoyable.
Book 1 charmed me with Chris's character despite my reservations about the dubious consent that happens in the beginning of the book. Book 2 was fun in some places, but it dragged horribly in others. Some of the writing felt a bit old or stiff, making the characters more wooden than book 1. Mark was still an interesting character, and I appreciated that he wanted to give Lexie a chance to actually choose him. Lexie was a bit of a weak character to me, but Mark's humor helped carry the story along.
Enjoyed this book like I did with the first book in this series. The story was too short. Was looking forward to a nasty conflick with Lexis and Nick that didn't happen, but overall I really enjoyed reading this book.
